Since the first broom came off of the production line in 1935, Crystal Lake Manufacturing, Inc. has become the nation's leading producers of corn brooms, wet and dry mops, and broom and mop handles.
Crystal Lake's history is rich in pride, quality and family tradition. Founded by the late Edward Holmes Pearson and his wife, Ercille Willett Pearson during the Great Depression, the company was initially intended to provide work for unemployed sharecroppers. today, Crystal Lake employs more than 125 people. Operations are still directed by the Pearson family - Sybil and James Pearson, Edward Pearson, and Theresa Pearson Dunn. The Pearson influence and tradition at Crystal Lake spans three generations. See Facilities.
Crystal Lake brooms, mops, and handles are shipped to food wholesalers, janitorial wholesalers and national retail chain stores across the country.
Crystal Lake is proud of the standard of excellence it maintains. Quality of product is unsurpassed. Crystal Lake is big enough to supply the trade's needs, yet small enough to supply the kind of service which sets it apart from the competition. Crystal Lake is "sweeping the country" with quality and innovation.
